Daniel Watson graduated Swansea University with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in medical engineering. He stayed at Swansea to work toward a PhD in nanotechnology; where he studied the development of lymphoedema and modelled how fluid is moved through the lymphatic system. While at Imperial College London he has focused on understanding the mathematics behind how immune cells, chemokines and fluid flows interact within the lymph nodes
